Exquisite, brand new, brilliant, and uncirculated 2023 issue 1 gram Chinese Panda gold bullion coins. These coins are issued by the Chinese Mint, and are part of their Panda series. The Panda series was first issued in gold in 1982. The coin was hailed as a success, and in 1983 the coin was also released in silver. In 2021, the Panda coin debuted in platinum as well. The original Panda coins were issued in extremely limited mintages, and this helped to increase the demand for the coins, but also to boost their numismatic value over time.
The Panda series was released in ounce denominations until 2016, when the coin's denomination was updated to grams. Today, the gold Panda series is available in 1 gram, 3 gram, 8 gram, 15 gram, and 30 gram sizes.
These coins feature an image of Beijing's Temple of Heaven on the front. The coin's year of minting, 2023, can be found at the bottom of the coin. The reverse side of the coin features an image of two Pandas in a tree reaching towards each other. The coin's weight of 1 gram, and purity of 999 are also located on the outside of the image. These coins have a face value of 10 Yuan, which is imprinted on the bottom of the coin. Each year, the image of the Panda is updated on these coins. This has given them some collectible value over the investment gold value of the coin.
