A History of the Silver Maple Leaf
The silver Maple Leaf was introduced to the bullion investment market in 1988, following on from the popularity of the gold Maple Leaf coin. The reverse side of the coin features an image of a Canadian Maple Leaf coin. The coin's purity of 99.99% fine is located to the left and to the right of the coin, and the laser inscribed Maple Leaf is located to the bottom of the coin on all silver Maple Leaf coins minted after 2014.
Silver Maple Leaf coins are typically sold in a tube of 20 or 25 pieces, depending on the year of minting.
